About Us
Kunstschmiede Wilperath GmbH is a workshop founded in 2015 in Altrip near Mannheim, dedicated to the tradition of blacksmithing and metal design. The company manufactures designed steel structures such as gates, doors, window grilles, handrails, fences, staircases, terraces, and awnings, as well as furniture and cantilevered brackets, combining traditional blacksmithing on the anvil with modern processes like laser cutting, water jet cutting, CAD design, and 3D printing. A second focus is the restoration and preservation of historical metalwork, including galvanoplasty, fountains, grave sites, and church furnishings. Clients include the Federal Court of Justice Karlsruhe, the General Archives of Karlsruhe, the Karlsruhe Zoo, the City of Mannheim, Bruchsal Castle, Speyer Cathedral, and the City of Düsseldorf. Additionally, the workshop offers documentation, structural surveys, specifications, reconstructions, and replicas, as well as blacksmithing courses. Managing directors are Master Metal Builders and artisans Martin Wilperath and S. Kleutges.
