The Company
Liebensteiner Kartonagenwerk GmbH has been producing custom corrugated packaging solutions at its Plößberg site (Bavaria) since 1968. The product portfolio includes transport packaging according to Fefco codes, heavy-duty packaging made from double- and triple-wall, water-resistant glued corrugated board, printed consumer packaging, dividers, cushioning and partitions, as well as shipping packaging with self-adhesive strips and tear-open cords. The company processes around 155 million m² of corrugated board annually on a production area of 60,000 m²; the raw material is sheet-fed stock, including the lightweight Nextboard® material from the upstream supplier Progroup, which is located on the factory premises. Manufacturing processes include die-cutting (flatbed die-cutter G-Cut), folding-carton gluing, printing and robotics in production. With 500 employees, a fully automated high-bay warehouse with 74,000 pallet slots and around 50 of its own trucks, Liebensteiner delivers just-in-time within a radius of more than 450 km. Customer segments include glass & porcelain, industry, automotive, e-commerce, bicycles and lifestyle.
