About Lindau Surface Works
Lindau Surface Works operates two electroplating plants in Langenfeld and Remscheid with around 35 employees and annual revenue of approx. 4 million €. The service portfolio includes electroplated zinc and zinc-iron coatings (Fe//Zn, Fe//ZnFe) in barrel, basket and rack technology, manganese and zinc phosphate coatings on ferrous materials, and direct passivation (including Surtec 650) on aluminium, aluminium die casting and zinc die casting. Post-treatments are available in blue, black, yellow or thick-layer, with and without sealing, chrome-free and REACH- and RoHS-compliant. Production runs on fully automated plant technology in two- and three-shift operation five days a week; lot sizes range from small to large series. Customers — including from the automotive, commercial vehicle, construction/hardware, mechanical engineering and fastener industries — order according to DIN, DIN EN ISO and numerous company standards. Both sites are certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 (Langenfeld since 2001, Remscheid since 2004).

Cathodic corrosion protection on all common steels and zinc die casting, parts up to 2,250 × 1,250 × 350 mm and 300 kg.
Zinc-iron coatings (alkaline)
Electrodeposited zinc-iron coatings on steel and zinc die casting with increased corrosion resistance.
Manganese phosphating
Manganese phosphate coating on iron and steel (barrel, gentle barrel, basket, rack), oiled or passivated/dry, up to 1,000 × 600 × 350 mm.
Zinc phosphating
Zinc phosphate coating on iron and steel according to DIN EN ISO 9717 and DIN 50942.
Direct passivation
Chrome-free direct passivation on aluminium, aluminium die casting and zinc die casting, up to 1,000 × 500 × 300 mm.

Quality
Both sites have been certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 since 2001 (Langenfeld) and 2004 (Remscheid) respectively (TÜV Rheinland). Since 1986, documented self-monitoring with regular external monitoring has been in place, originating from membership of the Gütegemeinschaft Galvanotechnik e.V. (today Fachverband Qualifizierter Beschichter e.V.).
