About us

M.H. Metallgießerei GmbH & Co. KG is a job-shop customer foundry based in Fröndenberg that has specialised in gravity die casting of non-ferrous metals since 1961. The company produces brass and bronze cast parts using the gravity casting process as well as semi-automatic casting machines, and manufactures the required sand cores in its own core-making shop, which also enables the production of cast parts with complex internal structures. The maximum castable part weight is 8 kg; the maximum casting capacity is 60 tonnes per month or 300 kg per hour, with a furnace capacity of 500 kg. Brass castings include technical cast parts and sanitary fittings, while bronze castings are mainly tools for the glass industry. Customers include companies from the valve industry, sanitary engineering and the glass industry. In close cooperation with a metalworking partner, the foundry offers cast parts from development support through to surface treatment.

Materials & Alloys

CuZn39Pb1Al-C

Brass CB757S MS60 fine grain

Polishable brass gravity die casting, not dezincification-resistant (Pb 1.2–1.4), e.g. for technical cast parts and sanitary fittings.

CB757S

Brass CB757S MS60 fine grain, low-lead

Polishable brass alloy with reduced lead content (0.2) for gravity die casting.

MS60 LL

Brass MS60 LL lead-free

Lead-free brass alloy with bismuth addition for gravity die casting.

CB770S

Brass CB770S MS63 dezincification-resistant

Dezincification-resistant brass (Pb 1.2–1.4 %), also suitable under the new drinking water standard.

Cuphin

Special brass Cuphin

Special brass alloy for demanding gravity die casting applications.

CuZn10Al9Fe1Ni15-B-G

Bronze CuZn10Al9Fe1Ni15-B-GS

Bronze alloy for gravity die casting, especially for tools for the glass industry.

AlBz

Aluminium bronze

Aluminium bronze for highly stressed bronze cast parts in gravity die casting.

NiBz

Nickel bronze

Nickel bronze for bronze casting, mainly for tools for the glass industry.

Kokillenguss

Gravity die casting (gravity and semi-automatic)

Precise casting close to the final contour, which reduces machining and tooling costs; casting weight up to 8 kg.

Sandkerne

In-house core production

Sand cores from a fully automatic core moulding machine enable cast parts with complex internal structures (core box max. 650 x 400 x 390 mm).
