About Mafix AG
Mafix AG is a Swiss specialist in precision plastic injection moulding based in Obergerlafingen. Founded in 1946, the company covers the entire process: from consulting and technical development, through its own injection mould making, to series production and finishing. On 12 plastic injection moulding machines with clamping forces of 25 to 600 tonnes, practically all thermoplastics are processed into parts weighing 1 to 1700 grams – from small series of a few hundred pieces to large series of several hundred thousand pieces. Production is complemented by CNC milling work (HSC and hard milling), die sinking EDM, and finishing processes such as pad printing, hot foil stamping, ultrasonic welding, laser marking, assembly of component groups and packaging. Since 2003 the company has operated according to ISO 9001, and since 2004 additionally according to ISO 14001.

Materials and Processes
Thermoplastics
Nearly all thermoplastics are processed on the injection moulding machines with 25–600 t clamping force.
Synthetic resins / Bakelite
The company's historic starting material for compression-moulded parts until the decommissioning of the last compression moulding presses in the mid-1970s.
Steel (mould making)
Material for inserts, mould assemblies and injection moulds in the company's own mould making operation.
Copper
Material for electrodes in die sinking EDM.
