MAK Metall- und Blechbearbeitung GmbH is a metalworking company in Lucerne that has been offering sheet metal and metal working as contract manufacturing since 2001. Materials processed include steel, chrome-nickel steel (stainless steel), aluminium, copper, brass, Corten steel and plastic – from prototype and single-piece production through to series production including the assembly of complete assemblies. Customers come from apparatus engineering, mechanical engineering, facade and window construction, enclosure, shopfitting and furniture manufacturing, container and vehicle construction as well as the food industry. In 2020, more than 350 tonnes of metal were processed for customer orders; customers come from all over Switzerland with a focus on Central Switzerland.

Steel sheet is processed, among other things, in laser cutting up to 8 mm and in welded constructions.
Stainless steel (chrome-nickel/chrome steel)
Chrome steel up to 6 mm for laser cutting and welding work, with electropolishing and pickling as surface finish.
Aluminium
Aluminium up to 5 mm for laser cutting, bending, profile bending and anodizing.
Copper
Soft metal for drilling and thread forming.
Brass
Processed in drilling and profile bending.
Corten steel
Used, for example, for facade elements finished by rusting.
Plastic
Joining with plastic, e.g. via pop rivets with steel sheet.

After completion of the welding work, the outgoing inspection checks the dimensions and tolerances of the workpieces as well as the weld seams and their quality. Proper preparation for shipping and transport ensures delivery in the agreed quality.
