About Max Zeller Söhne AG
Max Zeller Söhne AG is a mid-sized Swiss family company in its fifth generation, headquartered in Romanshorn. The company specialises in the development, manufacturing and marketing of herbal medicinal products (phytopharmaceuticals) with clinically proven efficacy as well as high-quality dietary supplements. The portfolio comprises film-coated tablets, tablets, juices, syrups, ointments and liquid extracts based on plant extracts such as St. John's wort, valerian, hops, butterbur, black cohosh, chaste tree, ivy as well as nasturtium and horseradish. Zeller is one of the few companies to control the entire value chain from seed to finished product; the subsidiary Vitaplant AG in Uttwil specialises in seeds and cultivation development. Around 15 percent of revenue is invested annually in research, development and quality control. Around 170 employees from disciplines such as biology, pharmacy, agronomy, medicine and chemistry work at the Romanshorn and Uttwil sites; the internationally marketed medicines are available in more than 25 countries.
