About MBO GmbH
MBO GmbH, based in Roding, is the in-house surface technology provider of the Mühlbauer Parts & Systems group and has been finishing components since 2010, both for the group itself and for a large number of external customers. The process portfolio covers powder coating (including ESD-conductive powders), painting, electroplating such as zinc plating (acidic and alkaline) and zinc-nickel, anodising and hard anodising, burnishing, chromating and passivation to SurTec 650. In addition, phosphating, glass bead and grit blasting, cleaning processes for metal and plastic, polishing and grinding processes, preservation as well as cleanroom-compatible cleaning and packaging (ISO Class 7) are offered. Materials processed include aluminium, steel, castings, forgings and plastics, with parts weighing up to 2 t per rack and dimensions up to 8000 x 4000 x 4000 mm. Production runs seven days a week around the clock, with 160 hours per week reserved for express production; an own collection and delivery service complements the service. Customers come from industries such as the semiconductor industry, aerospace, pharmaceuticals and medicine, rail technology, security and defence technology, and agricultural and construction machinery.

Aluminium
Is painted, powder coated, anodised and hard anodised; chromated and passivated for corrosion protection and as an adhesion base.
Steel
Base material for painting, powder coating, zinc plating, zinc-nickel, phosphating and burnishing.
Steel with up to 12 % nickel/chromium
Treated in the phosphating process in shades from brown to black.
Casting
Cast and forged parts are corrosion-protected in the acidic zinc plating process.
Plastic
Plastic parts are prepared in special cleaning processes.

Additional services
Quality
In the in-house testing laboratory, complete in-house monitoring of all processes is carried out; a dedicated quality management team accompanies production. The exhaust air is used for heating, and the in-house wastewater treatment plant recycles up to 96 % of the cleaned water.
