About Metabo

Metabowerke GmbH, headquartered in Nürtingen (Baden-Württemberg), is a manufacturer of power tools for professional users. The product range comprises corded and battery-powered machines – including angle grinders, drills and impact drills, cordless drill/drivers, mixers, magnetic core drills and beveling tools – as well as a comprehensive accessories and cutting disc programme. A small proportion of the devices is still manufactured in Nürtingen, while the majority is produced at the Shanghai production site; gear housings are made in in-house aluminium die-casting, plastic parts in in-house injection moulding. The main target groups are the metalworking trade and the metal industry as well as the construction trade and renovation. Metabo employs more than 1,800 people worldwide and generated revenue of 594 million euros in 2020. Since 2017 the company has belonged to the investor Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR); with the Cordless Alliance System (CAS), the battery platform has been open to other manufacturers since 2019.
