Metallbau Hanschmann is a metal construction company founded in 1919 in Wilsdruff near Dresden, today run as a sole proprietorship by Dietmar Hanschmann in the third generation. The company manufactures steel structures, ornamental grilles, staircases, gates, fences, terraces, balconies, canopies and stainless steel work, and also offers sheet metal processing, CAD planning and assembly. Since 2022, a CNC plasma cutting machine has been available, with which sheets up to 1500 x 3000 mm in sheet thicknesses of 1 to 20 mm can be cut from steel, galvanized steel, aluminium, stainless steel and copper; profile tubes up to 150 mm in height and 3000 mm in length can be processed. As a certified welding company under EN 1090, the business works for construction firms, medium-sized companies and private customers, including Infineon Dresden, Siemens, Zeppelin and the town of Wilsdruff. In addition to manufacturing, the company sells technical gases and is a member of the Oberes Elbtal metal guild; to date, 14 apprentices have been trained in the metal trade.
