About us

Metallbau Hau is a craft business in family tradition, founded in 1995 and based in Gutenzell (Baden-Württemberg). The company designs, constructs, manufactures and installs individual products made of steel, stainless steel and aluminium. The production programme covers architectural metalwork, structural steelwork, maintenance and conversion work, contract manufacturing as well as custom constructions for medium-sized and larger companies. The manufacturing processes include cutting (sheet metal working 1–25 mm, thermal and mechanical), forming (edging, bending, rolling), machining on NC and CNC turning and milling machines, joining (TIG/MIG welding, soldering, screwing, riveting) as well as surface coating by painting, powder coating, hot-dip galvanizing and electroplating. In industrial construction, the company manufactures one-off pieces and small series; assembly and disassembly work as well as the demolition of steel structures are also part of the service portfolio. Since 2023, the company has been certified to DIN EN ISO 3834-2 and EN 1090-2.

Materials & manufacturing processes

St

Steel

Base material for structural steelwork, architectural metalwork and stairs, workable in sheet thicknesses of 1–25 mm.

VA

Stainless steel

Used for corrosion-resistant railings, custom-made products and high-quality metalwork.

Al

Aluminium

Light semi-finished product for forming, machining and coating in cross-material constructions.

WIG/MAG

Welding (TIG/MIG)

Depending on the material and the requirements for the weld seam, TIG or MIG processes are used.

SÄGE

Sawing (semi/fully automatic)

Cutting of semi-finished products on semi- and fully automatic sawing machines.

NC/CNC

NC/CNC turning and milling

Further processing in a separate machining area.

FEUERVERZ

Hot-dip galvanizing

Reliable corrosion protection for weather-resistant components, also using the duplex process.
