About RM Guss

Metallgießerei Ralf Mewes GmbH (RM Guss) is a manufacturer of cast products based in Velbert. At its core, the company produces aluminium gravity die cast parts with unit weights of 5 g to 60 kg and dimensions up to 2000 x 1600 x 500 mm; in addition, zinc die casting as well as — through its partner Gestaguss-GEW in Wetterzeube — steel, stainless steel, grey iron, malleable iron and hard casting including manganese hard steel. Annual production volume is around 1,000 tonnes of aluminium gravity die casting (approx. 80 t/month), produced on more than 20 casting machines and in 12 melting furnaces. The value chain covers development, design, prototyping, in-house tool and permanent mould making, CNC machining on 3-, 4- and 5-axis machining centres, surface finishing such as powder coating, anodizing and painting, as well as assembly of complete assemblies. Customers are OEMs, mid-sized companies and small businesses from industries such as mechanical engineering, automotive, rail, sun protection, construction and medical technology; the company delivers throughout Germany and worldwide. The quality management system has been certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 since 1996.
