About us
Metob Beschichtungen GmbH is a contract coating service provider with locations in Michelau (Upper Franconia) and Hildburghausen (Thuringia). The company offers E-coating, powder coating, degreasing, acid pickling/passivation, as well as washing, pickling, and preserving, supplementing these wet chemical processes with blasting and assembly work. The Michelau site has established itself as a competence center for coating parts made of aluminum materials and serves as the administrative headquarters of the Metob Group. There, in collaboration with a premium automobile manufacturer, an E-coating plant was designed and commissioned in mid-2018, which was built exclusively for E-coating aluminum parts and integrated acid pickling/passivation as pretreatment. The Hildburghausen site is focused on E-coating and powder coatings, with an emphasis on vehicle parts for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Customers come primarily from the automotive industry and the lightweight construction sector.
