About us

METTEC is a family business founded in 1953 with the two business divisions METTEC GUSS and METTEC CNC. The foundry in Wels produces castings in aluminium, red brass and non-ferrous metal alloys by permanent mould casting (0.1–50 kg) and sand casting (200 g–100 kg) using manual and machine moulding processes, complemented by 3D sand mould printing, tool and pattern making, casting simulation with MAGMA, casting fettling, heat treatment and sealing. METTEC CNC in Buchkirchen has handled the machining of plastics, steel, stainless steel, super duplex steel, brass and aluminium since 2004 in the 3- to 5-axis milling range up to 3,000 mm in length as well as in the turning range from 8 to 600 mm in diameter. Further services include cylindrical grinding, hard turning, vibratory finishing technology, laser marking, surface finishing and assembly of complete units. The offering is rounded out by measurement and inspection services with a materials laboratory, 3D measuring room, GOM scanning as well as X-ray inspection and computed tomography. Customers come from automotive, rail vehicles, mechanical engineering, power electronics, the electrical industry, winter sports, automation, apparatus engineering, agricultural industry and the leisure sector. On a total production area of 23,000 m², the company employs around 180 staff.
