About Modellbau Wilhelmi
Modellbau Wilhelmi GmbH is a model-making company based in Oberndorf am Neckar. The company produces foundry patterns for sand casting — aluminium castings, spheroidal/grey iron castings and steel castings — from wood, plastic and aluminium, which have been used in foundries throughout Europe for more than 45 years. Further services include visual and trade-fair models including painting, as well as ultrasonic welding, measuring and assembly fixtures made from model-making block material, cast PU and epoxy materials, aluminium and brass. Production takes place on seven CNC milling machines, three of which are gantry milling machines with traverse paths of up to 7 m, supplemented by 3D printing for prototypes and small quantities as well as high-pressure waterjet cutting for plastics, wood, metals and stone. Support ranges from data conversion and casting-technology consulting through to the finished pattern or casting. On 2,000 sqm of production space, the managing directors Frank, Marco and Tobias Wilhelmi work in the third generation.
