NEOMELT Feuerfesttechnik GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Kassel, is a supplier of foundry solutions with the two business areas of own manufacturing and trading. The company produces Croning and coldbox cores as well as complete core packages on core shooting machines with chamber volumes of 2.5 to 100 liters. The basis is specially coated Croning sand, bauxite sand and Cerabeads, and mixtures of these molding materials are also processed; in addition, coatings and core adhesives are manufactured and core packages are assembled. Core production is carried out by the partner Termit d.d., founded in 1960 and specialized in the extraction and processing of quartz sands. In its trading business, NEOMELT distributes binder systems (furan, phenolic urethane, alkaline phenolic, silicate), refractory bricks and plates (Al2O3, SiC, mullite, bauxite, MgO, ZrO2), bio-soluble and ceramic insulation fibers, insulation films for induction furnaces, fabric filters, graphite electrodes of grades RP, HP, SHP and UHP from 10 to 28 inches as well as slag binders. The products are aimed at foundries for iron, steel, aluminium, light metal and non-ferrous metal casting as well as at manufacturers of industrial furnace plants and heating boilers.
