About Nitrex
Nitrex is a Canadian company founded in 1984 and headquartered in Saint-Laurent (Montréal), offering integrated heat treatment and surface treatment solutions. The portfolio includes turnkey gas nitriding and nitrocarburizing systems (including the NX Pit, NXH, NXHL, NXK and NXL series), vacuum furnaces under the G-M Enterprises brand, high-temperature coating and retort furnaces, as well as process and flow controls under the UPC-Marathon brand. Materials treated include steels, tool steels, stainless steels, cast iron, titanium alloys, nickel superalloys and aluminum. Core processes are the company's own computer-controlled technologies NITREG® (gas nitriding), NITREG®-C (nitrocarburizing), ONC® (oxynitriding/post-oxidation), NITREG®-S (stainless steels) and NITREG®-Ti (titanium), as well as vacuum hardening, tempering, annealing, brazing, sintering and vapor phase aluminizing. In addition to equipment manufacturing, Nitrex operates commercial heat treatment facilities (Heat Treat Services) in Canada, the USA, Mexico, Italy, Poland and China. Customers come from aerospace, automotive, agricultural machinery, defense, gear manufacturing, tool and die making, aluminum extrusion, energy and medical technology. Production hubs are located in China, Poland and the USA; through sales and service offices, the company operates worldwide.
