About Us
NPT AG, based in Rheinfelden near Basel, is an international management consulting and engineering company for the steel, metals and mining industry. The core team has worked together for more than 20 years in key positions, including at Siemens VAI (today PRIMETALS) and DANIELI, and has more than 25 years of experience in the steel business. The service portfolio includes consulting, engineering, project management and FEED (Front End Engineering and Design) as well as design and engineering of electric steel furnaces, arc furnaces, ladle furnaces, Electric Steel Meltshops and Mini Mills, including secondary metallurgy plants and casting plants. Via the structure connected with an Austrian engineering group, numerous plants for electric steel production have been planned and delivered worldwide. The company has recorded more than 100 successful major consulting and engineering projects and projects with more than 70 million t/a of steel capacity, active in almost all world regions and across all levels of the value chain. In addition to steel projects, NPT also undertakes project management and FEED for plants in other industries, most recently for a greenfield plant for the manufacture of medical devices.
