About paXos Solar GmbH
paXos Solar GmbH, based in Langenfeld (Rheinland), is the developer and manufacturer of the Multi-Energy Roof, a building-integrated roofing system (BIPV) that combines photovoltaics and solar thermal energy in one system, using both solar power and the resulting waste heat. The solar modules are integrated into the roof as solar flat tiles in a beaver-tail or shingle look and are available in various colors and designs, so that listed heritage buildings can also be equipped. All components are fully roof-integrated and are therefore protected against weather, UV radiation and animal infestation; installation is tool-free. In addition to product development, the company offers engineering services, project management and consulting in the fields of energy technology, automotive and industry, as well as further in-house developments such as the solar roof tile and a charging plug. The company was founded in 2020 and has been operational since the end of 2024; in 2024 it received the German Solar Prize, and in 2025 NRW.BANK acquired an interest in the company.
