The Peter steel and metal construction business is a family-run craft business in Holzheim (district of Dillingen, Bavaria), founded in 1953 and today run in its second generation by Martin Peter and Fabian Peter. The company manufactures steel components such as steel staircases, stair railings, patio canopies, unheated winter gardens, balconies, farm gates, fences as well as doors and gates, and additionally steel construction for industry. Materials used include steel, stainless steel and aluminium, complemented by glass infills and wooden treads; steel components are galvanized and powder-coated. The business is certified according to DIN EN 1090. Historically, Peter manufactured supply parts for agricultural machinery manufacturers such as Ködel and Böhm (today Deutz Fahr) as well as Gebrüder Eberhard and roller coaster components for Schwarzkopf GmbH. The site at Römerstraße 70 also includes a filling station with a shop, a 24-hour unmanned fuel pump and the sale of bottled and technical gases.

History

Founded by Franz Peter in a small barn in Holzheim; manufacture of rubber-tired carts for tractors and horse-drawn wagons with one apprentice
