RailMaint GmbH, headquartered in Delitzsch, is a service provider for the maintenance, upkeep, and modernization of rail vehicles used in freight and passenger transport. Approximately 1,000 employees work at the facilities in Delitzsch, Duisburg, Kaiserslautern, Leipzig, and Oberhausen (Bavaria), as well as at the service stations in Wolfsburg and Ingolstadt. The range of services includes overhauls of all maintenance levels, emergency repairs, conversions, and modernizations up to the modification of construction types, bogie and truck maintenance, train and buffer devices, brake maintenance, painting, and corrosion protection, including tank cleaning, de-pressurization, purging, and inertization of pressurized gas cylinders. Components such as buffers, drawhooks, couplings, leaf springs, hydraulic capsules, and brake parts are repaired, tested, refurbished, and remanufactured in the Kaiserslautern Competence Center; metal processing, steel construction, and welding according to DIN 15085-CL1 are also performed. The Delitzsch plant, with 46,000 m² of workshop area, also offers new construction of rail vehicles, as well as ultrasonic, high-voltage, electrical, and climate test benches. Mobile service teams carry out repairs nationwide and across borders in transit traffic.
