Rotor Lips AG is a Swiss machine manufacturer with headquarters and production in Uetendorf near Thun. The company develops, produces and distributes machines for gastronomy, bars, communal catering, bakeries, confectioneries, butcheries, catering and commercial food processing. The product range includes commercial mixers, drink mixers, immersion blenders, juice centrifuges, citrus and orange presses, vegetable cutters, peeling machines, spiral kneaders, whipping and mixing machines, table cutters, slicing and universal machines as well as vacuum packing and sous-vide cooking appliances. In addition, imported machines are offered with the so-called "Swiss Finish": careful inspection, technical adjustments and final inspection in-house. The company was formed in 2004 through the merger of Rotor AG (founded 1943) and Lips Maschinen AG (founded 1880) and belongs to the Rotag Group. Around 20'000 restaurants, hospitals, care homes, canteens and bars in Switzerland count among the customers; exports also go to around 40 countries worldwide, primarily via specialist retailers and importers.
