The company develops and markets the patented oil containment system OSC (Oil Safe Collar), a ring-shaped safety collar with recyclable binding agent that is fitted around the tower of a wind turbine below the nacelle and captures and fixes escaping oil-containing operating fluids. The wax-based binding agent DEUREX PURE, which Rotor Rope distributes exclusively in the wind energy industry, absorbs 6.5 times its own volume, separates oil and water and is fully recyclable. The company operates throughout Europe. The development of the OSC system was funded by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt).
