About the Sektkellerei OHLIG
Rüdesheimer Sektkellerei OHLIG GmbH & Co. KG is a family-run sparkling wine cellar based in Rüdesheim am Rhein that has been producing Sekt and Perlwein since 1919, now in its fourth generation. Production is carried out predominantly using the classic bottle fermentation method: the base wines – mainly Rheingau Riesling and Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) – are combined into a cuvée, made into sparkling wine and aged on the lees for at least nine months in the vaulted cellar that is over 100 years old. After riddling (remuage), the bottles are freshly disgorged for delivery and bottled on modern cellar technology. In addition to its own branded sparkling wines, the company offers private labelling: individual labels, capsules and neck ribbons for retailers, gastronomy, wineries, companies and events, including labelling, order picking and logistics. Sales are nationwide; the parent company with cellar, production and sales is located on Geisenheimer Straße in Rüdesheim am Rhein.
