About Säntis Packaging
Säntis Packaging AG is a Swiss technology company based in Rüthi SG that has been developing and manufacturing plastic packaging and technical plastic components for over 100 years. Its production range covers film extrusion of up to 9-layer flat films (350–2000 µm), thermoforming as well as injection moulding for cups, trays, lids, capsule systems, closure systems and technical parts. Materials processed include PS, PP, PE, PET, EVOH, PA and PLA – each also as recyclates or biobased variants. Decoration is done with IML, offset printing, sleeves, embossing, laser engraving and digital watermarks. Customers include the food and dairy industry, coffee and capsule manufacturers, the pet food, MedTech/pharma and cosmetics sectors, as well as technical industries such as ventilation, refrigeration, electronics, automotive and pump manufacturing. In addition to administration, development and production at its headquarters in Rüthi SG, the company operates a production site in Niederuzwil SG with around 100 employees.

Materials & Processes
Polystyrene (PS) / Recycled Polystyrene (rPS)
Classic cup material for the dairy industry, also as rPS in a closed loop.
Polypropylene (PP) / Recycled Polypropylene (rPP)
For cups, lids and technical parts with high temperature resistance.
Polyethylene (PE) / Recycled PE / Bio-PE
For closures, trays and protective caps, partly biobased.
PET / Recycled PET (rPET)
Transparent packaging and film-based applications.
EVOH
Barrier layer in high-barrier films against oxygen and aroma loss.
Polyamide (PA)
Component in multilayer films.
PLA
Biobased material for sustainable cup solutions.
Film Extrusion (Coextrusion)
Up to 9-layer flat films, 350–2000 µm, temperature-resistant from -20 °C to +121 °C.
Thermoforming
Vacuum or pressure thermoforming for cups, capsules, lids and trays.
Injection Moulding
Dimensionally stable packaging, precision parts and technical components, also with IML.
