Schäfer GmbH & Co. KG (Holz Schäfer) is a wood processing company headquartered in Melle, Lower Saxony. The company manufactures custom transport packaging and pallets – standardized or made to customer specifications – as well as a broad range of wood-based materials such as birch and softwood film-faced plywood, OSB and chipboard, tongue-and-groove and profile boards, and traver strips. Production is mechanically machined, with low energy and water consumption. Before production, the team analyzes the transport or construction project together with the customer, prepares feasibility studies and design drawings, and evaluates material usage. In addition to manufacturing, the company offers warehousing, distribution, order logistics, customs clearance and dropshipping. Customers come from transport and logistics, industry, trade, trades, timber construction as well as the furniture and kitchen industry. The headquarters with production and goods receiving is located in Melle (Vierhausen 7) with optimal connections to the A30; further locations exist in Melle (Kamphausstraße 10), Bremen and Belarus.
