Family business since 1946

SCHERPE Maschinenbau GmbH is a family-run mechanical engineering company in Berlin-Spandau that has existed since 1946 and is today managed in its third generation by Bernhard and Christian Scherpe. The company produces single parts and small to medium series to customer drawings and samples: milling, turning, drilling, sawing, slotting and thread cutting as well as repair and build-up welding (manual electrode, MIG, MAG, TIG) for a wide variety of materials. On conventional lathes, workpieces up to 600 mm in diameter and 2.5 m in length are machined; the CNC machining centre allows travel paths of 1000 x 510 x 450 mm with a workpiece weight of 750 kg. The range of services also includes the repair of gearboxes and machinery, the assembly of subassemblies and the manufacture of standard parts such as screws, bolts and flanges. Customers include, among others, AWB Aluminiumwerk Berlin GmbH, Dr. Mann Pharma and Axel Springer SE.
