Schmaus Kunststoffaufbereitung is a specialized company for the processing of technical plastics, located in the Am Galgenfeld industrial estate in Pöttmes in the Munich/Augsburg region. The company takes over production scrap, start-up shots, defective production runs and returns from plastics processing businesses and processes them in defined, quality-assured processes: cleaning, sorting and separating including disassembly of metals, foams and foreign matter as well as metal separation. This is followed by grinding to customer-specific grain sizes of 6 to 10 mm. On four extruder lines, Schmaus produces plastic regranulates – including from materials that are difficult to process, such as films and fiber-containing plastics – as well as recompounds based on virgin material, which can be colored on request or modified with fillers and reinforcements and additives. In addition, the company offers trading in high-quality plastics as well as material testing, the preparation of factory test certificates and disposal certificates. Annual capacity is around 5,000 processed tonnes; delivery is quality-certified (ISO 9001) and just-in-time.
