About Schmidt + Clemens
Schmidt + Clemens is an owner-managed family business founded in 1879 with its headquarters in Lindlar-Kaiserau, and for over 145 years has been one of the leading specialist foundries for centrifugal casting, static casting (sand and shell mould casting) and investment casting. The company manufactures precision-cast and forged components made of high-alloy special steels, nickel-based alloys and its own proprietary Centralloy® materials that withstand the highest thermal, corrosive and mechanical stresses. The value chain covers the entire process from alloy development and materials consulting through casting and machining (sawing, milling, turning, drilling) to manual and automated welding, heat treatment and assembly. Core markets are the petrochemical industry (steam crackers, steam reformers), iron direct reduction (DRI), energy and furnace technology, and general mechanical, plant and marine engineering. With production sites in Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic and Malaysia, around 1,081 employees and revenue of approx. €366 million (2025), S+C delivers worldwide to more than 30 countries.
