Drawing machines, winding machines and rewinding lines for fine and ultra-fine wire down to 10 µm

Schmidt Maschinenbau GmbH
Gummersbach (DE)New on Amplifa
Specialist for fine and ultra-fine wire technology
Schmidt Maschinenbau GmbH in Gummersbach develops and manufactures wire drawing machines, winding machines and rewinding lines for the wire industry. The portfolio includes cone drawing machines (drawing with slip), slip-free single-capstan drawing machines (WDM series, ES series, ES355, fully immersed versions 5×200-40 and 7×300-50) as well as ultra-fine wire drawing machines of type E10 for finished wires down to 10 µm, some with an inline rolling mill for flat strip production. In addition, the company supplies annealing winders of the SM series for wires downstream of heat treatment and electroplating lines as well as rewinding machines (SM02, USP, U-ASP with automatic winder). Materials processed include copper, silver-plated copper, stainless steel, carbon steel, precious metals, EDM wire and silver-plated composite materials such as CCA and CCSS. Machines for water-based emulsions are made entirely of stainless steel. The range of services extends from consulting, planning, design, enclosure construction, mechanical and electrical assembly, software programming to commissioning, as well as fault analysis, remote maintenance via Netbiter VPN and a rewinding service. An international presence is maintained, among other things, jointly with the US partner Niehoff Endex at trade fairs in Atlanta and Düsseldorf.
