Plastic Processing Made in Germany
Schmidt Plastics GmbH manufactures technical plastic molded parts for the automotive, electrical and printing machinery industries, for HVAC engineering, signal technology, wind energy and renewable energies. Production has been carried out for over 65 years at the Emsbüren and Ludwigsburg sites with injection molding machines and presses with clamping forces of 22 to 750 tonnes – in small as well as large series. Materials processed include thermoplastics, thermosets, SMC, BMC and PET; for the past year, PET bottles have been produced in series on an in-house blow molding machine. Value-added services include in-house design with adaptation of 3D files, an in-house toolmaking shop for injection and compression technologies, and FDM 3D printing of thermoplastic components. On machining centers, plastic parts up to 600 × 900 mm and 800 kg can be machined. The product range includes, among other things, busbar holders and support insulators for 1–3 kV.
