About SCHOELLERSHAMMER

SCHOELLERSHAMMER GmbH is a family-owned company, now in its seventh generation and independent of any group, headquartered in Düren. Founded in 1784, the company produces corrugated base papers from 100 % recovered paper on two paper machines (PM 5 and PM 6): fluting (Recycled Fluting), Testliner 2 and 3, as well as the specialty grades Hammerflute, Hammerliner and Twinhammer, which can in some cases replace virgin-fiber papers. The basis weights range from 80 to 180 g/m²; around 1,500 km of paper is run per machine every day. Approximately 546,000 t of packaging papers are produced annually, for which around 550,000 t of recovered paper (approx. 4 million inhabitants) are processed in accordance with DIN EN 643. As a non-integrated manufacturer, SCHOELLERSHAMMER supplies customers in the corrugated board and packaging industry throughout Europe, supported by EDI connectivity, consignment warehouses, fully automatic crane warehouses with 20,000 t finished-goods capacity and 24-hour loading. On the 236,774 m² plant site, fiber residues are recovered for energy; part of the 170 million kWh electricity demand is covered by in-house power generation.
