About us
SCHULER 1694 AG, headquartered in Seewen (SZ), is a Swiss wine trading house established in 1694 and today run by the family in its eleventh generation. The company vinifies and refines wines in its own winery with a barrique cellar, operates its own wine analytics laboratory and, as the only wine trading house in Switzerland, manufactures its barriques and large wooden barrels in its own cooperage using traditional craftsmanship. French and American oak, Swiss oak wood and, as a speciality, larch, chestnut and acacia wood are processed. The company's own winery produces almost 100 wines; including the four vineyards belonging to the group in Switzerland, Italy and Armenia, there are more than 200, and the range comprises 530 references. The production steps include cooperage, wine maturation, laboratory analysis and automatic bottling, also with personalised labels and bottles. Products are distributed via an online shop, ten vinoteques in Switzerland and a customer service branch in Weil am Rhein (Germany).
