About Schwarzmüller

The Schwarzmüller Group is an Austrian manufacturer of towed commercial vehicles headquartered in Freinberg, Upper Austria. The company produces trailers and vehicle bodies in eight product groups, including tipper trailers, platform trailers, push-floor trailers, tank trailers, low-loader trailers, timber and stake vehicles, container transport vehicles and flatbed bodies. Production is predominantly in steel and aluminium construction; since 2009 the Freinberg site has had a fully automatic longitudinal girder assembly line. Manufacturing includes sandblasting, spray galvanizing and painting as well as vehicle assembly. In 2017, more than 8,800 commercial vehicles were produced at the production sites Freinberg, Žebrák and Budapest. Customers come from long-distance transport, construction, waste management, mineral oil and tank logistics, the food industry as well as the timber and forestry sector. Since 2024, Schwarzmüller has been a strategic partner in the Krone Commercial Vehicle Group; a service network in 21 countries across Central and Eastern Europe complements the new vehicle business.
