About SensyMIC
SensyMIC GmbH, based in Alzenau (Bavaria), is a manufacturer of mineral-insulated cables (MIMS cables) as well as thermocouple cables, compensation cables and extension leads for industrial measurement and control technology. As part of the WIKA Group, the company looks back on a tradition that began in 1960 with the production of mineral-insulated cable by Degussa in Hanau; cable production was fully relocated to Alzenau by 2006. Manufacturing includes the drawing of MIMS cables with industrial-diamond drawing dies for homogeneous outer diameters, special heat treatment processes for the aging and stabilization of thermoelectric voltage values (including Type K), final polishing with a passivation layer, and double-sheath technology for corrosive environments. Highly compressed magnesium oxide and aluminum oxide ceramic capillaries are used as insulation materials; sheath alloys include Alloy TD, Alloy X and Alloy 625. SensyMIC manufactures entirely in Germany in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and supplies customers worldwide, particularly for applications in accordance with AMS 2750E and CQI-9.

Materials & Processes
Thermocouple Type K (MIMS)
Most widely used thermocouple; aging and stabilization of thermoelectric voltage values through additional heat treatment processes.
Alloy TD (sheath alloy)
Sheath alloy for mineral-insulated cables, available on request.
Alloy X (sheath alloy)
Sheath alloy for mineral-insulated cables, available on request.
Alloy 625 (sheath alloy)
Nickel-based alloy as sheath material for demanding applications.
Magnesium oxide (highly compressed)
Insulation material with very good insulation properties even at high temperatures.
Aluminum oxide (ceramic capillaries)
Ceramic insulation material for high temperatures.
Mineral-insulated cable (MIMS)
Core product for industrial temperature measurement with high flexibility and long-term stability.
Double-sheath technology
Two layered tube materials delay corrosion under aggressive environmental conditions.
Extension & Compensating Cable
Thermocouple cables, compensation cables and extension leads as a complement to the MIMS portfolio.

Additional services
Quality & Certification
All MIMS cables undergo a flexibility test (bend diameter = three times the outer diameter, stricter than DIN EN 61515) as well as an insulation resistance test (>30 GOhm at room temperature). Calibration is performed with certified EMF values including a calibration certificate; in addition, a premium class is offered as input material for sensors in accordance with AMS 2750E or CQI-9.
