About Sidrag AG
Sidrag AG is a Swiss die casting manufacturer based in Baar in the canton of Zug. Founded in 1968, the company produces precision cast parts from aluminium, zinc, magnesium and special alloys in small and medium series for customers in Switzerland and nearby countries. Its value chain includes engineering and mould concept, casting simulation with MAGMAsoft, toolmaking and tool takeover, die casting and investment casting including rapid prototyping, as well as CNC machining, punching, vibratory finishing (Trowal) and surface finishing by polishing, powder and wet coating, Teflon and electroplating. Quality assurance includes, among other things, a ZEISS Metrotom computed tomography scanner for 3D X-ray measurement and a coordinate measuring machine (CM/Quartis) including 8D reporting. Around 40 employees in the production area work across five departments (die casting, investment casting, mechanical production/CNC, toolmaking, maintenance). Customer industries include medical technology, machinery and apparatus engineering, electrical engineering, metrology, optics, sensor technology, automotive, aerospace and the watchmaking industry.
