About SIT (Schweiz) AG
SIT (Schweiz) AG is the sales and service company of the internationally active SIT Group for Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. The group, headquartered in Italy, develops, produces and distributes drive elements for industrial applications: timing belts and pulleys (HTD, STD, RPP, GT and other tooth profiles), V-belt and poly-V pulleys, elastic and metal bellows couplings, gear and lamella couplings, tensioning elements, taper-lock bushings, motor slides as well as modular plastic belts and monolithic TPU conveyor belts. Belts are made from chloroprene rubber with glass cord tension members or from thermoplastic polyurethane with glass or carbon tension members. The Swiss site in Sirnach comprises 7,000 m² of production space with in-house machining for prototypes and small series as well as in-house belt finishing. With around 1,100 employees, the group operates production sites on three continents and an automated logistics center in Cusago (MI) with 18,000 m² of warehouse and office space, 140,000 coded products and around 250,000 goods movements per year. Customers come from mechanical engineering, drive and conveyor technology, linear technology as well as food processing, food transport and packaging. In-house engineering includes drive calculation (SITDrive, SITCoupling), CAD models and custom-made products to drawing.
