About SKB Modellbau
SKB Modellbau GmbH, based in Bohmte (Osnabrück district), has been manufacturing models, moulds and tools from wood, plastic and metal since 1980. The product range includes foundry models, vacuum thermoforming tools including twin-sheet tools as well as true-to-scale display models for cities, municipalities and industry. Production is CNC-controlled on five milling machines, including a 5-axis gantry milling machine with a working area of 5,000 × 2,500 × 1,500 mm. The design of models, moulds and tools is carried out in-house in the CAD department using SolidWorks and Mastercam; 2D and 3D data are exchanged via common interfaces. Around 15 employees work on a production and administration area of 1,100 m². Customers of the products are found mainly in the foundry industry, the plastics and thermoforming industry, as well as among municipalities and industrial companies.
