SolidCAM develops CAM software for CNC programming that is seamlessly integrated in SOLIDWORKS, Solid Edge and Inventor. The module portfolio includes iMachining (patented high-speed milling technology for roughing), 2.5D milling, HSS, HSM & HSR, Sim5X for simultaneous 5-axis machining, Indexial 4/5-axis milling, turning, Multi-Channel Mill-Turn, Swiss Machining (CNC Swiss-type turning) and Solid Probe for on-machine probing and measuring. The portfolio is complemented by SolidCAM Additive, a complete solution for 3D metal printing and subsequent CNC machining. The patented iMachining technology automatically calculates feeds and cutting speeds using variable cutting angle technology and morphing spiral toolpaths. In addition, the German branch SolidCAM GmbH offers training, workshops, webinars and technical support. Customers include DMG MORI, whose solution portfolio was expanded to include SolidCAM in 2026.
