About Spengler & Fürst
Spengler & Fürst GmbH & Co. KG is a traditional textile mill based in Crimmitschau, Saxony. Founded in 1837 by Carl Spengler as a buckskin, cheviot and worsted yarn factory, the company still focuses today on the production of high-quality woollen cloth for men's outerwear. Since 1991, production has been carried out with a modernised machinery park in winding, twisting, warping and weaving; worsted fabrics in difficult patterns are made from pure new wool from European yarn suppliers as well as from wool blends such as Trevira/wool. The company also includes a made-to-measure tailoring shop. In addition, the company develops recyclable textile-plastic composite materials for use in automotive interiors and is an industrial partner of Chemnitz University of Technology as well as a partner of the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau. Exports go mainly to the former West German federal states, Western Europe and the Far East.
