Sutter AG Lungern Fahrzeugbau develops and manufactures vehicle bodies and special solutions for commercial vehicles at its site in Lungern in the canton of Obwalden. The product portfolio includes three-way tipper trucks up to 40 t, which are produced in-house from planning through to the finished product, dump bodies and recycling bodies, loading bridges for trucks and delivery vans, box bodies, vehicle and construction machinery transporters, quick-change systems, trailers as well as toolboxes. The manufacturing operations include sheet metal working, welded construction, CNC machining, engineering and assembly; in addition, the company offers maintenance and repairs of bodies and trailers. Customers come from the commercial vehicle industry, municipal services, the construction industry and recycling. The company is a certified body manufacturer partner of Mercedes-Benz Vans, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Ford Pro and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and operates certified management systems in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. What began in 1928 as a farriery and carriage smithy is today a modern vehicle manufacturing business in the heart of Switzerland.
