About TAF Freiberg

TAF Thermische Apparate Freiberg GmbH develops and manufactures thermal apparatus, pressure vessels, reactors, combustion chambers, and process technology special systems for laboratory, pilot, and industrial scales. Originating in 1997 from the model workshops of the German Fuel Institute, the company has been part of the Pörner Group since 2011 and has been fully acquired by them since April 2022. In a 1,900 m² production hall, vessels and apparatus are created with diameters up to 4,500 mm and piece weights up to 12 tons (certified for piece weights up to 18 t). As an approved pressure equipment manufacturer (AD 2000 HP 0 / EN 13445-4) and certified welding specialist (EN ISO 3834-2), TAF processes unalloyed, low- and high-alloy, and heat-resistant steels, nickel-basis alloys, and aluminum alloys. Services include basic and detailed engineering, plasma cutting, CNC machining, welding processes, piping and steel construction up to EXC3, assembly, commissioning, and service. Customers include TU Dresden, EDL Anlagenbau, and the Pörner Group; systems are used worldwide.
