About Talbot Services

Talbot Services GmbH in Aachen is a rail vehicle manufacturer with a tradition dating back to 1838. Its range of services covers the new construction of passenger trains including commissioning, as well as maintenance, repair and modernization of rail vehicles of all kinds – from passenger coaches, S-Bahn and tram vehicles to elevated railways and double-decker coaches through to diesel locomotives. Manufacturing includes welded subassemblies to DIN EN 15085-2 in steel and aluminium, painting and coating work, assembly of electrical components and cable ducts, final fitting-out of car bodies, train formation as well as static and dynamic commissioning of the vehicles. In addition, the company manufactures special designs within and outside rail vehicle construction, including the pre-production series of 50 electric cars for StreetScooter GmbH. The site on Jülicher Straße has a direct rail connection for the delivery and dispatch of rail vehicles up to a total length of 170 metres as well as the delivery of parts and assemblies up to heavy-load goods. On 1 July 2013, Talbot Services GmbH took over the site from Bombardier in a management buy-out; in 2025 the construction of two new halls in Stolberg-Atsch was announced jointly with AIXrail GmbH.
