About Tavadec
Tavadec SA is a precision machining company based in Tavannes in the Bernese Jura. The company was founded in 1989 and specializes in high-precision micro-turning (Décolletage), with a focus on the watch industry (Horlogerie). It manufactures turned parts from single pieces to large series – from simple components requiring high productivity to complex parts with demanding shape and quality requirements. The processes used include bar turning, long turning (Swiss Turning) and turning including milling, with components machined in diameters of 0.1 to 10 mm and lengths of 0.1 to 100 mm. The material range includes, among others, precious and non-ferrous metals, precious metals such as silver, gold and platinum, steels and stainless steels, nickel alloys, titanium and plastics. As an active member of the AFDT (Association des Fabricants de Décolletage et de Taillage), Tavadec is committed to training future automatic lathe operators, thereby securing the next generation of skilled workers in the industry.
