About Techniplas
Techniplas is an international full-service provider in plastics injection molding with over 3000 employees, 22 locations in Europe, North America, Africa and Asia, and more than 250 customers. Core products include precision automotive components and modules, lighting solutions, as well as mechatronic and decorative solutions based on advanced plastic manufacturing technology. The process portfolio ranges from product design and simulation through injection molding (thermoplastic, thermoset, multi-component, MuCell foam injection molding, thin-wall technology), back-injection of foils (FIM/IMSE) and ColorFuse™ in-mold coating to PVD metallization such as ELAMET EMC coatings and SICRALAN hard coatings. Materials are thermoplastics such as PPS GF/CF, PEEK, PEI, PA and POM as well as phenolic resins with glass fiber, glass bead or graphite; high-precision parts are manufactured with tolerances down to +/-0.003 mm. Customer industries include automotive, communication/mobile, automation, medical technology, building automation, consumer goods, semiconductors and packaging. The headquarters is located in Rüti ZH, Switzerland.

Materials and Processes
Injection molding
Thermoplastic and thermoset components, including multi-component, MuCell foam and thin-wall technology with tolerances down to +/-0.003 mm.
Thermoset injection molding
Phenolic resins with glass fiber, glass bead or graphite for high temperature and dimensional stability.
MuCell foam injection molding
Physical foaming with inert gas for lightweight, low-distortion parts with at least 8% weight savings.
Multi-component injection molding
Two or more plastics are combined into a single part.
Back-injection of foils
Metal and polymer foils for metallic look, Day/Night design and structural electronics in one process.
ColorFuse™ in-mold coating
Injection molding and coating in a single solvent-free process without overspray.
ELAMET EMC coatings
PVD metallization with aluminum, copper, tin, nickel-chromium, stainless steel, ITO or gold for EMI shielding and conductivity.
PVD processes
Sputtering (ø 220 × 450 mm), thermal evaporation (1000 × 200 × 300 mm) and electron beam evaporation (1700 × 750 × 300 mm).
SICRALAN coatings
Scratch, UV, chemical and weather resistance, reflection reduction and anti-fog performance.
PEEK / PEI / PPS GF/CF / PA / POM
High-performance thermoplastics for high-precision, durable plastic parts.
Aluminum foil
Used in light guide technology and foil back-injection for automotive lighting.
