About TecVentum
TecVentum AG is an engineering service provider based in Kreuzlingen (Switzerland) that supports companies in the development of mechanical and mechatronic components, assemblies, machines, devices and systems. The services include the Engineering HelpLine (rapid design consulting on site or online), structured solution finding using methods such as TRIZ and Design Thinking, as well as project support in development projects, including 3D CAD design, FMEA and functional analyses, and FE analyses. Functional models and prototypes are produced in-house using FDM 3D printing, while SLS/MJF is handled via partner service providers; sheet-metal bent parts are additionally sourced via online service providers. Material and process selection ranges from sheet metal and aluminium extrusion profiles to injection moulding, plastics and additive manufacturing methods. Customers come from industries such as building envelope, automation, robotics, dental technology, sports equipment, electronics and laboratory instrumentation; confidentiality and patent support are an integral part of the collaboration.

Materials and Manufacturing Processes
3D printing (FDM)
Functional models and prototypes are produced in-house by FDM printing in plastic, parts overnight.
3D printing (SLS, MJF)
High-quality plastic parts are manufactured via specialised external service providers using the SLS or MJF process.
Sheet metal
Sheet-metal bent parts are individually ordered via online service providers, including for hygienic custom-made products such as dental wash baskets.
Injection moulding
Injection moulding of plastic, rubber up to zinc is suitable for higher volumes; expertise also in multi-component technology.
Aluminium extrusion profiles
Extrusion profiles minimise the milling effort for series parts; special profiles reduce rework effort.
Steel (structural steel)
Structural steelwork with standardised profiles and beams is suitable for large constructions and is often combined with sheet-metal bent parts.
