About us
TFS Fahrzeugbau GmbH, founded in 1924, is a provider of vehicle and body construction based in Umkirch near Freiburg. The company manufactures box bodies with and without refrigeration, flatbed and tarpaulin bodies, interior fittings and load securing systems as well as unusual special solutions for industry, transport, security and the trades – including fire brigade vehicles such as the equipment transport vehicle (Gerätewagen Transport). In addition, TFS offers truck repairs, upholstery/upholstery work and painting. The entire service, from planning through individual manufacturing to interior fitting, is performed 100 % in-house in its own craft tradition, resulting in solutions from a single source. Customers include, among others, the Grünkraut fire brigade, Carla Cargo and a Fraunhofer institute, for which an electric truck was built for trial operation.
