About topocare
topocare GmbH is a company for flood protection and hydraulic engineering founded in 2012 in Gütersloh. The core of the company is patented laying machines with which endless sand-filled tubes (topotube) can be produced economically. During construction operations, these are used to build embankments and dikes, and in disaster situations for the rapid erection of temporary flood protection barriers. According to the company, the laying capacity of a tube laying machine corresponds to about 420 people laying sandbags. In addition to the topotube, topomover and topopacker machines, topocare offers flood protection software, logistics concepts for the setup of mobile systems, dike and structure monitoring with internet-capable sensors, geotextile, spare parts and training. The multidisciplinary team of engineers, simulation experts, software developers and geographers cooperates with universities and works for municipalities as well as water and dike associations.
