trio-Eloxal GmbH & Co. KG is a contract finishing company specializing in the technical surface finishing of aluminum and steel, headquartered in Geesthacht (Schleswig-Holstein). The scope of services includes anodizing (anodization) including hard anodizing, colored anodizing, and stainless steel look anodizing, powder coating of aluminum, raw and galvanized steel, glass coating, passivation, as well as chemical and mechanical pre-treatments such as degreasing, pickling, sanding, brushing, polishing, blasting, and microsatinization. A special strength is the handling of over-lengths: Components up to 18,000 mm long can be processed on the long anodizing and coating line, while the short line handles up to 7,850 mm (anodizing) or 6,000 mm (powder coating). Customers include architecture and façade construction, mechanical engineering, and medical technology, ranging from large façade components to the smallest medical instruments. Since 2021, there has been a partnership with the Engel Group from Pohlheim; additionally, the company offers internal contact treatment when anodizing hollow chamber profiles and tubes.

Aluminum
Finished through anodizing, hard anodizing, colored anodizing, passivation, and powder coating; also available for panel and perforated sheets as well as profiles up to 18,000 mm.
Raw Steel
Powder coated with chemical pretreatment and conversion coating for internal applications.
Galvanized Steel
Coated with tempering, priming (epoxy primer), and powder coating, as well as combined hot dip galvanizing and coating.
Glass
Coated within the scope of the offered glass coating process.
Anodizing (Anodization)
Anodic oxidation creates a 5 to 25 µm thick oxide layer with strong corrosion protection.
Hard Anodizing
Hard coating for particularly durable, abrasion-resistant aluminum surfaces.

Founding of trio-Eloxal GmbH & Co. KG in Hamburg by Manfred Schauenburg, initially with 10 employees; technical finishing of aluminum.
- 1975
Relocation of the company headquarters to Geesthacht (Spandauer Strasse 35-37).
- 1978
Expansion of portfolio to over-lengths up to 18,000 mm; at this time the only company in Germany capable of anodizing up to these lengths.
- 1989
Acquisition of the adjacent industrial painting business; conversion of wet painting to modern powder coating with three automatic and manual systems up to 6,000 mm.
- 1996
Extension of powder coating with another automatic and manual cabinet for components up to 18,000 mm.
