About UHG Universalhärterei GmbH
UHG Universalhärterei GmbH is a commercial heat treatment shop specialized in induction heat treatment. Founded in 1978 in Göppingen, the company offers induction hardening, tempering, annealing and quench-and-temper treatment, in particular for complex-shaped workpieces that only need to be heat treated in certain areas. Machining is carried out on CNC-controlled induction hardening systems with high-frequency and medium-frequency generators. To optimize dimensional accuracy, UHG straightens centered shafts for concentricity on a straightening press with 100 tons of pressing force; the company also carries out sandblasting work according to customer specifications. Both individual parts of the most varied geometries and series parts are processed. Quality assurance includes incoming goods inspection, computer-controlled order tracking as well as first-article, final and accompanying inspections in the in-house QA laboratory. Since 1992 the operation has been located in its own production hall in Gingen an der Fils, where the administration is also based.
